1.3.5. Replacement of lighting lamps

Prevention

Halogen lamps have the elevated pressure of gas inside and demand the special address. They can become torn or break if are scratched or will fall. You hold a lamp only for its plastic or metal case. Do not touch a glass part of a lamp barehanded.

When replacing a lamp be convinced that switches of ignition and light are switched off. Use lamps with the rated power in watts specified in the table.

Replacement of headlights

 Open a cowl. Disconnect a connector. Remove a rubber cover.

If connector to hard, then its poshatayta.

Release the fixing spring of a lamp and remove a lamp. Establish a new lamp and fix the fixing lamp spring.

For installation of a lamp combine lamp ears with a cut in an assembly opening.


Establish a rubber cover by a tag of "TOP" in the direction up and press a ledge. Insert a connector.

Make sure that the rubber cover densely adjoins to a connector and the case of a headlight.

Aiming is unnecessary after replacement of a lamp. If aiming performance is required, contact the dealer of Toyota.
