Check of level of engine oil
When the engine is heated to working temperature and switched off, check oil level on the bayonet index of level.
For obtaining the right indication the car has to be stopped on the flat platform. After switching off of the engine wait several minutes in order that oil flew down back on an engine bottom.
Take the bayonet index of level and wipe it with a pure rag.
Again insert the bayonet index of level – press it those a time until it enters, otherwise the indication will be wrong.
Take the bayonet index of level and look at oil level on its end.
Prevention
If level is below or only slightly above the lower level, add engine oil of the same type.
Uncover a bulk mouth and add engine oil in the small portions, checking the bayonet index of level.
The approximate amount of oil demanded for filling of volume between the lower level and full level on the bayonet index is given below for reference. When level reaches the required range, establish a cover of a bulk mouth back and tighten it a hand.
