1.1.9. Cover of the fuel tank


 To open a cover of a bulk mouth of the fuel tank, pull the lever up.

During filling the engine has to be switched off.
Prevention

When opening do not uncover it sharply. In hot weather fuel is under pressure, and it can lead to a trauma because of spraying of fuel from a bulk mouth.

 For removal of a cover of the fuel tank turn it slowly counterclockwise, then sustain a pause and remove it. After removal of a cover hang up it on a hook.

When opening a cover you can hear light cotton. At installation into place turn a cover clockwise, yet you will not hear click.
Prevention

Make sure that the cover is closed densely that fuel did not pour out in case of accident.

When replacing a cover use only an original product of Toyota. In a cover there is a backpressure valve for reduction of discharge in the fuel tank.
