2.23. Height and free wheeling of pedals of coupling and brake

Pedal height
Height of a pedal is understood as distance between a floor and a pedal. If height of a pedal does not conform to technical requirements, then it is necessary to carry out adjustment.

Check and adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To adjust height of a pedal of coupling weaken a pusher lock-nut, adjust height and tighten a lock-nut.
2. When carrying out adjustment of height of a pedal of a brake, weaken a lock-nut on the switch of brake fires, and delay the switch back. Adjust pedal height.
3. Adjust a switch gap.

Free wheeling of a pedal

The free wheeling of a pedal is understood as distance which passes a pedal before the brake system or coupling begins to be involved.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Measure a free wheeling of both pedals. For carrying out adjustment of pedals, weaken lock-nuts on their pushers (before regulating a pedal of a brake squeeze out it several times), adjust gaps and tighten nuts.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Start the engine, squeeze out a pedal of a brake and measure distance from a pedal to a floor. If the distance is less than size demanded in technical characteristics, it is necessary to eliminate malfunctions in the brake system.
