Eats - the sensor represents the thermoresistor which resistance increases at fall of temperature.
Check
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. For check disconnect the socket from the sensor and check the sensor resistance which has to be 2500–3000 Ohms at 20 °C.

| 2. Having warmed up the engine, or having removed the sensor and having placed in boiled water, check sensor resistance at 80 °C which has to be 250–300 Ohms. |

Replacement
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Switch off ignition. |
| 2. On the cold engine merge 3–4 l of liquid. |
| 3. Turn out the sensor. At installation wrap up the new sensor a teflon tape and turn, observing extreme care. |

Prevention
Breakage of the ECT sensor because of maloperation will break normal work of all power supply system of the engine.
